Perry de Loor (1988) is an award-winning writer, director and producer.

He received national praise with the short film In her labyrinth (2009), in which actors such as Chris Lomme, Kristin Arras, Lien Van de Kelder, Andrea Croonenberghs and Jenne Decleir participated, and made the much-discussed docudrama Louis (2010) about a homeless man from Antwerp who took care of two abandoned children of drug addicts.

After receiving his Master in Audiovisual Arts at the Luca School of Arts in 2011, this sympathetic and passionate filmmaker studied at the prestigious New York Film Academy in Los Angeles in 2012. To expand his storytelling skills, he took lessons and masterclasses from famous screenwriters and gurus such as Robert McKee and Scott Meyers (K-9, Zorro, K-911).

De Loor acted as producer for the Oscar-nominated production company Vivi Film (Les Triplettes de Belvilles, The Secret of Kells) for short films as This No Land (2018) and The Memory Shop (2019), co-produced by deMensen, with actors such as Peter Van den Eede, Titus De Voogdt, Robrecht Vanden Thoren, Lucas Van den Eynde, Katelijne Damen and many more amazing actors.

In 2019, de Loor started his own production company Storyvision. He creatively produced the Celtic stop-motion animation short Triskelion (2021), which premiered at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. For Belgian television channels Ketnet and VRT, he produced a children tv series about the second World War.

It’s de Loor’s ambition to write, direct and produce ambitious genre films and series. He loves to break story, to get into a character’s mind, to write and to solve narrative problems. He has traveled around the world and has been in touch with diverse cultures. Fascinated by fantastical out-of-our world, sci-fi and thrilling dramatic stories, he’s brainstorming and developing multiple film and series to be able to continue his past successes into the future and hopes to engage and entertain an audience with as many great characters and as much thrills, tension, fantasy, drama, hopes, dreams, conflict, mystery and excitement as possible.
